The Cancer Society Manawatu is looking for someone to fill the role of Volunteer Coordinator.
The permanent part-time position is 25 hours a week based in Palmerston North.

The work of the Cancer Society Manawatu Centre largely relies on the selfless work of volunteers who contribute thousands of hours to supporting the work done in the community to help people and their whānau with cancer.
For every Cancer Society staff member there are 20 volunteers throughout Aotearoa – and the role of the Volunteer Coordinator is pivotal to the stewardship and nurturing of our army of treasured volunteers and the success of the work they undertake in the community.
The purpose of the role is to:-
- Recruit, train and oversee the Volunteers of the Centre
- Provide a pool of trained and available volunteers for the Centre
- Oversee the interests and welfare of the Volunteers associated with the Centre
- Keep essential and detailed records on all Volunteers
If you are a self-starter who has experience developing and implementing project plans, can relate easily to people from all walks of life (and take a lot of pride in your relationships), have an eye for detail and have accurate administration skills and more than comfortable navigating around a computer using the Microsoft suite of programs we would love to hear from you.
NB: This role has a start date of mid January 2023.
